This was my initial reaction to bunny surgery, as well it should be — YOU try explaining to a rabbit that it can’t hop for 7 days.
Have you ever noticed that the word QUIT is hidden in the word mosquito? I’ve lived most of my life in Alberta and Saskatchewan, so it’s not like mosquitoes are anything new to me. Summer is hot, sometimes it rains, and there are mosquitoes — it’s just a fact of life.
But I have NEVER seen anything like what’s going on right now. Yesterday we went to a wedding and of course it was outdoors, and the bride was running late — when is the bride not? But the second we pulled into the parking lot, this SWARM of mosquitoes descended on the car. We hadn’t even left the vehicle and they were everywhere, like in The Birds, but instead of angry birds, bloodsucking fiends.
Six of one, really.
In other news, I am greatly enjoying season 3 of Burn Notice. Yes, season 3 — we don’t pick the show up here so I’m a season behind with DVDs. Bruce Campbell is still awesome after all these years
